WHAT I DO TO EARN A LITTLE FUN MONEY

LIke a lot of people my budget is tight– hubby and I both work but have rent, bills, car payment ETC to pay. so that doesn’t leave a lot of extra money for fun things always.

To help get around that or even sometimes get necessities if needed I do earning sites to earn points I can trade in for gift cards to places like Walmart, amazon, even paypal. for the past several years amazon has helped be get Christmas and birthday gifts for my nieces. (bought my hubbys gift last year too. 🙂 I stockpile amazon cards and shop throughout the year for us for things like movies, or things we might need around the house.

then come june I start stockpiling and shopping for Christmas if something doesn’t come up first. I have some sites I do specifically for amazon, some specifically for paypal, some specifically for money on a prepaid card, some for iTunes.things I do to earn points on any of the sites: redeem codes, take surveys, watch videos, free offers, paid emails, run apps.its simple to do and I enjoy doing it. and it really helps.

i’ve kinda slacked this spring/summer as a couple of my main sites have gotten really slow.. but I still plug away at it when I have the extra time.

Little house on the prairie thoughts..

I have loved this show since I was a kid! the show was wholesome and clean. and had good values. can’t really say the same about today’s tv sadly. The show’s premise was about the Ingalls family and their neighbors growing up in pioneer times in walnut grove mn. the show had a great cast –Richard bull, Katherine McGregor, Michael Landon, Melissa Gilbert, Karen Grassle, Alison Arngrim, Victor French… just to name a few. no matter what hardships the Ingalls faced they always got through them together as a family and grew stronger because of it.I was fortunate enough to get this series on blu ray and find I still enjoy watching it even now.

I have so many episodes that are my favorites: back to school, the preacher takes a wife, here come the brides, laura Ingalls wilder, the wedding, i’ll be waving as you drive away, remember me, divorce walnut grove style, may I have this dance… just to name a few.

there are two episodes of the series that I will NOT watch as they make me sad- Sylvia, and “may we make them proud”- that is the episode in which the blind school burns down and it makes me bawl like a baby.

MY FAVORITE GROUP– EVER!!!!

Ever Since 1988 or 1989 I have been a huge fan of the group New Kids On the Block or NKOTB.I had posters all over my bedroom walls, my headboard my desk my dresser ETC. I owned 2 sweatshirts,2 nightshirts, 3 or 4 t shirts. I had trading cards, stickers and buttons, I also had all their cassette tapes and a bunch of stuff recorded of tv that they were on.(enough for 2 VHS tapes-LOL) I even made a scrapbook of sorts with pictures my ticket stub, articles ETC.I bought every magazine I could to read about them and daydream about them and to get the posters 🙂 I got to see them perform in concert live in 1990 and it is a moment I have never forgotten.

I was totally gutted in 1993 when their newest album “face the music” didn’t sell real well (that gosh awful grunge rock was taking over the music scene) they persevered for a while but then word came out that Jon had fallen off a horse and injured his back and was not going to be able to perform with them till it healed. the did a few more shows and then the rest of the tour was cancelled.

in either late 1993 or early 1994 the group disbanded and went their separate ways. I was stunned I left my posters up as long as I could before finally taking them down and packing them away with everything else i had. I still listened to my cd’s as they always made me feel better when I was in a bad mood and they reminded me of happier days.

I was beyond thrilled when they reunited in 2008! and while I have yet to see them perform since the reunion, or since my lone concert in 1990.. I have seen countless videos on youtube, and they sound and look AMAZING

A NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK MEMORY

I attended my lone concert in 1990. parents didn’t have a lot of money and shows always sold out quickly for them. I remember it was hot and very humid the day of the show girls getting carted out on stretches because they were getting proper hydration cause they didn’t want lose their spot. I also was happy cause I bought a huge poster and some cool postcards for souvenirs.I put the post cards on my dresser drawers as they fit and looked cool(LOL)

the poster was another matter entirely it was pretty big I hung it on t he wall with ticky tac BUUUT it kept falling down the ticky tac wouldn’t hold it so I carefully removed the ticky tac and folded the posted and placed it neatly on the trundle bed under my bed.my dad promised me after out little family trip he would help me get it framed and hung up. I was SO excited.when we came back from the trip the first thing I noticed was the canvas bag I decorated with marker and highlighter for the nkotb that I used for going to the library or running up to the store was AWOL from my room!!- I could totally tell my room had been cleaned and things moved around a bit so I was unhappy. as the last place I saw the bag and was on the trundle bed.my dad assured me it would show up.

then one night he asked me to see the poster again so I went to get it from the trundle and it to was gone– I was heartbroken and angry!!! the poster cost me $15 of my allowance money. I speculated through my tears that my grandma threw it and the bag away since she was the one sleeping in my room, and things were moved around after my fam got back from seeing my other grandma for a couple days. she flat out denied it even when my grandpa point blank asked her about it. never did get answers about the missing items, and my ticket stub was in with my posters and postcards that went AWOL during my first move, so all I have left of my lone concert is my memories. my grandma hated all my posters on my walls(so I am positive she threw the bag and poster away), refused to change in my room because of “all those eyes watching me” and even a few years after the stuff disappeared had the nerve to coerce my sister into scraping MY nkotb stickers off of MY mirror in MY bedroom!

I was swimming with a friend and when I got back i grabbed my things showered and then went into my room to hang out while my grandparents were gone and had gone over to the dresser and went to brush my hair when i kept thinking “something isn’t right” it took me a minute and then i realized that my stickers were gone and the couple that were left were severely damaged! i was fuming! you couldn’t get those stickers anywhere anymore. my sister was in the other room and told me where dad was so i went and talked to him- i was like “grandma is not allowed in my room EVER again!!! i want her out of it now!!!” he calmed me down and my sister then told us that it was her that scraped them off but only cause my grandma told her to.

my grandpa gave my grandma a talking to when they got home, and slipped me a bag of candy corn he grabbed at the gas station on the ay home. he told me she meant well..

What is Cooking Diary you ask?

Cooking diary is a fun (and at times frustrating )time management game app you can get from the app store and google play. each town consists of 5 restaurants , and you have to complete so many levels in each restaurant before being able to move on to the next one.

to beat levels you have to do things like serve a certain number of characters before time runs out, collect a certain amount of hearts from your customers before time runs out, earn a specified amount of coins before time runs out.

things that can hinder you in completing these objectives are : food burning, throwing something away, angry customers, customers leaving the restaurant.

along the way in each restaurant you can spend coins and in game currency called rubies to upgrade your restaurants and menu items.

it would take me all day to list everything you can do, but, if it sounds like something you would like, check it out and give it a try.

Why is Brock Lesnar back?

For the love of pete– why is the clumsy careless clod known in WWE as Brock Lesnar back???!!! he appeared out of nowhere last week on smackdown live and demanded a title shot from Kofi Kingston…. or rather, his “advocate” Paul Heyman demanded it- since brock is lousy on the microphone.

Brock hasn’t wrestled on smackdown in 15 years! why does he get a title shot? he also wrestles maybe once every two or three months, and if he is a champion then that title barely gets defended, which irritates wrestling fans to no end.

He is red faced and sucking wind a couple minutes into his matches, and he doesn’t protect his opponents like he should and has caused some injuries because of it.

Brock just needs to face the facts, he is passed his prime for a wrestler, at 42 years old and he needs to hang up his boots and retire to his farm in Saskatchewan Canada with his wife and 4 kids. I hope Kofi beats him in their upcoming title match, cause I do NOT want to see him as a champion again.
